How much does AlmaSEO cost?
$49 a month for Solo, $149 for Pro and $299 for Agency. Solo covers 5 sites and one seat, Pro covers 15 sites and three seats, and Agency has unlimited sites, articles, audits and images with 10 team seats included.
What are data credits?
Some of what AlmaSEO does costs real money every time it runs — a live search result, a backlink index lookup, an AI answer checked across engines. That data is bought from outside AlmaSEO, and credits are how you pay for it. Everything built on Google’s own free data — audits, index checks, Search Console work — costs no credits at all.
Do any plans include monthly credits?
No. No plan includes a recurring monthly credit allowance — credits are purely pay-as-you-go, and you buy a pack when you need one. Packs are $10 for 25,000 credits, $29 for 100,000 and $99 for 500,000, and purchased credits never expire; they sit there until you use them. Agency is the one exception at the start: 25,000 credits arrive free the day you activate, as a one-time welcome rather than a monthly allowance.
Is there a free trial, and do I need a card?
Fourteen days free, and no card. Every Agency feature is switched on for the trial — the client portal, the roles, the AI Agent Workspace, the profitability view — and nothing is charged when it ends. There is also a read-only demo running on a populated client workspace, with no signup and no login at all.
Is the cheapest plan a stripped-down version?
No. The SEO toolkit is the same on Solo as it is on Agency — audits, indexing, local rankings, AI search visibility, content, publishing and the quick-win lists are all in the $49. What the larger plans add is reach and the client-facing machinery: more sites and seats, the white-label portal, team roles, and the AI Agent Workspace.
What do I get by moving from Solo to Pro?
Reach and the hands-on layer. Pro takes you from 5 sites to 15 and from one seat to three, and it is where
AI Agent Workspace lives — AI-assisted access to the client’s site from the browser, over SSH or Cloudflare and GitHub. Several handoffs on the feature pages, like sending a quick win straight into a rewrite brief, need Pro for that reason.
What does Agency add on top of Pro?
The client-facing and commercial layer. Unlimited sites and 10 team seats, the
white-label client portal on your own logo and colours, the four team roles with client-by-client access, and the profitability view that measures retainer revenue against the hours actually logged. The 25,000 welcome credits come with it too.
Does the AI Agent Workspace cost extra?
It runs on Claude and you bring your own Anthropic API key, so what you spend with Anthropic is between you and Anthropic — AlmaSEO doesn’t mark it up. The workspace itself is included from Pro upwards.
Do you charge per client, the way agency reporting tools do?
No. AlmaSEO is priced by plan, not per client — Agency is $299 flat for unlimited sites, so winning a client doesn’t raise your bill. Per-client reporting tools like AgencyAnalytics meter each client dashboard instead; there is a full
AgencyAnalytics comparison if you’re weighing the two.
